This is the fourth webinar in this series focusing on how mental toughness has been and can usefully be included within social impact bond programmes. So far in this series of webinars we have introduced mental toughness and the 4Cs framework.

We have also explored its practical application with young people and with staff within youth work organisations. We have also looked at several real life case studies. This final webinar of the series looks at how mental toughness has been and can usefully be included within social impact bond programmes both as a development strategy and for measuring and evaluating impact.

The most successful SIB in 2016, the New Horizons programme, which won the 2016 Cabinet Office Social investment Public Service Transformation Award, incorporated the MTQ48 assessment into the programme.

This webinar has a wider appeal. Many funders now seek evidence of change in enablers such as mindset and soft skills as well as in outcomes to be confident that changes are sustainable in the long term.

The session will include:

  • A brief overview of how SIBs work (and how funders are seeking evidence in this area)
  • An explanation of how understanding Mental Toughness can be used for assessment, diagnosis and evaluation in SIBs
  • How developing mental toughness is a key factor in important outcomes such as behaviour, employability, aspirations and engagement – in voluntary and social activity

This session is designed for those who might be working with SIBs or considering this in the future or wish to enhance their capability to bid for funding and support. Book here
