Ambition and The Centre for Youth Impact work in Partnership on Impact Measurement

The Centre for Youth Impact will be working with Ambition to co-develop Ambition’s strategy and approach to embedding meaningful impact measurement, both within Ambition itself and across its membership.

The Centre for Youth Impact and Ambition will share a new post focused on research and learning, working across the two organisations to design the vision and support needed for a shared approach to evidence and quality improvement across Ambition's membership. The broader intention is to benefit the wider youth sector through increased insight, practice sharing and peer support.

The organisations are looking forward to welcoming Matthew Hill to the team. Matthew, who starts in June from the Institute of Volunteering Research at NCVO, will take up the new shared post of Head of Research and Learning.

Bethia McNeil, Director of The Centre for Youth Impact, said, “The Centre for Youth Impact is really excited to announce a new partnership with Ambition. This is a major opportunity to work with existing networks to take a collective and intentional approach to understanding and improving impact. The breadth of Ambition’s membership means that we can work together to identify and progress cross-sector thinking and practice, and share it more widely. This will complement the Centre’s existing networks, which continue to grow stronger”.

Emma Revie, CEO of Ambition, added, “I am thrilled about Ambition’s partnership with the Centre for Youth Impact. I believe together we can support our members to build a shared evidence base that demonstrates our collective impact, and a common language to describe the value of our work with young people. Our members are passionate about learning and continuous quality improvement and we are very excited that by Matt joining our team and by working in partnership with the Centre for Youth Impact, we can provide additional resource to our members in these areas. My hope is that, as we share the findings of our collective work, we will also benefit the wider youth sector.”

Bethia McNeil’s recent blog outlines some of the challenges Ambition and the Centre for Youth Impact will seek to tackle together:

Both Ambition and The Centre for Youth Impact are committed to ensuring that the impact of youth services and organisations is felt by young people and their communities every day.
